This has not been my year so far. Thought everything was going well, but guess I was wrong. I have not had any horse related injuries in a LONG time, but this year, Julie decided to launch herself off my foot, then I was on a hunter pace with Jacque having a great time when another rider's horse decided it needed to act up and while I was trying to get Will out of there, it kicked me in the shin (while on was on horseback). Also, had 2 mishaps with jumping students (have not had one in years!!!). Now we have a horse to work we were not supposed to have, and have no signs of moving him out anytime soon. Horses are not moving as we only have young unbroke ones, and no time to break them! I think I may be on the verge of a nervous breakdown as I am also having issues at work (I shouldn't say issues, as I really HATE my job and my co-workers are a pain in the rear) not just at home. I'm ready to just pack up and go. Wish this was more upbeat and pleasant, but that's not me right now. I can cry at the drop of a hat, lash out at anyone and crumble at someone's comments. Sorry all. Hopefully better news soon.
Just needed to vent.

Almost a month again! :)
We have been very busy with work and the horses! Everything seems to be coming together well for show season this year. Entries have been sent for the Buckeye Haflinger Show in July. We have had students hit their first shows of the season and did VERY well! Very proud of them both!!! Way to go Jacque & Madalyn!
Just went to a hunter pace yesterday with Jacque had a great time until another rider's horse decided it didn't like Will (when it was acting up, not Will) and kicked at him, but instead kicked me in the shin!!! Youch! So as of today, I am hobbling around. This has not been a good year for me as one of our 2 year olds decided to act a fool and launch herself into the field off my right foot a few weeks ago! I haven't had this many mishaps with the horses in a LONG time! So I have spent a couple Sunday nights sitting on the couch with ice on my leg or foot! :) Hope this is not an indication of how this year is going to go. If it is, I may postpone Yager's training, as I don't even want to think about what could happen there! :)
Lessons are going well and I have more students this year than I have had in a long time! I am having a blast!
Reining lessons are going great! Will is really coming into his own and starting to click! Yeah!!! We are hoping to have our first reining show this season maybe next Sunday. Will have to see how the weekend shapes up! ;) The reining show would be in Findlay!
Better get back to work. I will try better to update more often!
